It took three years and the complicity of 500 musicians (!!!) for the Canadian Rich Aucoin to give birth to his epic album of 23 titles : «We’re All Dying to Live».
When you listen to it, you hear that the Canadian digested quite some MGMT, Bowie and Daft Punk in the course of the recording sessions… And Live, this makes for an explosive cocktail. Only accompanied by a drummer, he offers the audience a multitude of things… From personalized introduction on screen to a dance with the audience under a multicolored parachute… You will come out exhausted but happy!
When we were told we only had thirty minutes before he had to go on stage to record… we wondered how we were going to do it… Impossible to move his machines, out of the question to improvise a karaoke with his mp3…
The BRNS guys had told us that they often see him in festivals and that they adored his album…The night before we therefore suggested that they come in to accompany him! They accepted not quite knowing what they were getting themselves into… It’s on the way to Metro Botanique that they rehearsed and fiddled a few arrangements…
A unique moment, totally crazy, to the rythm of the escalator beat…
