We have all come to know Anais with “Mon coeur, mon amour” (“My Darling, My Love”), true anti-sillyness hymn from her Live album “The Cheap Show” of which she has sold 500.000 copies.
We re-discover her with her third album called “à l’eau de javel” (“With Bleach”), a superb collection of love songs in which she brings retro classics such as “Si j’étais une cigarette” (“If I Were a Cigarette”), or “Je n’embrasse pas les garçons” (“I Don’t Kiss Boys”).
It’s in the tea parlor “La Ruche”, two steps away from Midi Train Station, that we meet up with the French singer. In between two cups of mint tea, she performs the wonderful “Mon Dieu” (“My God”), accompanied by her guitarist.
