The moment spent with Ibrahim Maalouf will remain for us the fastest shooting in the history of Bruxelles Ma Belle!  This short moment spent with the French-Lebanese trumpet player at the Palais des Beaux-Arts proved nonetheless extremely powerful and intense…

We had an appointment in the magnificent Henry Leboeuf room two hours before his concert, to film Ibrahim and his guitarist François Delporte.  Tough luck, he missed his train and only arrived 30 minutes before the show… Of course we thought the shooting would simply be canceled… But that’s without knowing Ibrahim Maalouf and his team who insisted on honoring their commitment!

It’s in a hurry, therefore, but nonetheless very nice, that he arrived on stage 15 minutes before the beginning of the concert to play the magnificent “Lily will soon be a woman” from his album “Diagnostic.”  A single shooting was enough to capture this magic moment offered by an unusually generous musician.

It’s enough to see the list of artists he has collaborated with to get a feel for the talent and the generosity of this musician: Grand Corps Malade, Juliette Greco, Piers Faccini, Salif Keita, Sting, Saule, Vincent Delerm, Tryo, Bumcello, Moustaki, Vanessa Paradis, Tony Gatlif, Arthur H, Jeanne Cherhal, Amadou et Mariam, Thomas Fersen, -M-,  Lhasa De Sela and many others…

Watch out for Ibrahim Maalouf’s next tour in the neighborhood, you won’t regret it!
